Growing Together
Uniting the Community to Help our Neighbors
Since Plant a Row started 13 years ago, we've had one goal: to grow fresh produce to give to the food insecure in Port Washington. In that time, we have delivered over 62,000 lbs. of produce to local families, and worked with numerous organizations, partners and volunteers to bring our mission to life.
Listen to what Sister Kathy, Director of the pantry at Our Lady of Fatima has to say about how difficult it can be for families to have access to fresh produce. Or what Deborah Harlin, the Executive Director at the Helen Keller National Center says about the wonderful use of the Helen Keller Center property with Plant a Row. We invite you to hear from these community partners and more, including Stella Spanakos of The Nicholas Center for Autism, Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena, Town Councilwoman Mariann Dalimonte, NY Assemblywoman Gina Sillitti and Schreiber HS Art Teacher Nicole Thomas.
We believe their powerful words demonstrate the profound impact we've had on so many people--and all that we can still accomplish. We invite you to grow with us and help make a difference!
